Print Spot Information

Copiers for student use are located throughout the campuses and are identified by the Print Spot logo.  All machines have the capability of color, scanning, stapling, and have the same interactive screen for easy access.  Print Spot allows users to pick up printing and copy jobs at any print spot copier with just the swipe of your Marymount ID.  Students ID cards have an allocated dollar amount for printing and copying preloaded with sufficient funds for most needs.  Students needing additional print monies may add funds at any time in the Student Center on the Oceanview Campus.


Email Printing:
Using your Marymount email account, send any supported document* type to print@marymountcalifornia.edu.  Then, retrieve your print job at any Print Spot printer on campus

Wireless Printing:
• Visit print.marymountcalifornia.edu
• Log in using your username/password
• Select your desired printer, upload a supported document*, and confirm the print job
• Retrieve the print job at the Print Spot printer you selected

Copying:
• Swipe your Marymount ID card
• Select Copy on the screen
• Select your options and press Start
• Log off the system by pressing Log Off on the control panel

Scanning to Email:
• Swipe your Marymount ID card
• Press the Scan/Fax button on the screen
• Your email address will automatically be selected
• Press Start to release your document
• Log off the system by pressing Log Off on the control panel

Router and Modem Information

Self-troubleshooting wireless modem issues:
If you are having any wireless issues inside your residential unit at either SPRC or PVA, please try these simple steps before contacting MCU technical support: 1. Turn off the wireless device you are using (computer, phone, tablet, etc)
2. Unplug the power from BOTH the Linksys router and cable modem
3. Leave both of them unplugged for 1-2 minutes
4. Plug in power for the cable modem (wait 1 minute)
5. Plug in the power for the Linksys router (wait 2 minutes)
6. Turn on your devices and check for a wireless signal and connectivity

Self-Troubleshooting Wireless Issues in Residential Units

LifeSize Video Conferencing
Marymount California University uses LifeSize Video Conferencing to allow real-time communication between our campuses.  LifeSize cloud also allows for video conferencing to take place using a tablet, laptop, phone or computer.  Please see information below on how to use the system.  The system must be reserved using Resource Scheduler before any meeting.

INSTALL THE APP. PLEASE DO THIS ASAP, PRIOR TO A MEETING
TO INSTALL THE APP:
1. Click on the meeting link
2. Click ‘download the app’ at the bottom of the page
3. Open the download file labeled ‘Lifesize Cloud’
4. Follow prompts: Click Continue / Agree to Terms and click Continue / Continue on remaining screens. You will see the App download and installation is now complete.

JOIN THE MEETING
1. Click on the meeting link
2. A window will appear. Locate and Click on “Already have it? Connect Now” (on a windows machine you may need to scroll to find the link, on Mac’s the link appears near the top).
3. On the Guest Tab, enter your name as you would like it to appear to others as your Username. The meeting number will already be filled in for you.
4. Click ‘Place Call’

TO CALL IN TO A MEETING VIA PHONE ONLY
Dial +1(512) 489-3100
Enter the extension (This is the meeting number)
You are now participating in the meeting via conference call.

Lifesize Cloud Instructions

Marymount California University’s Learning Management System (LMS) can be found online at my.marymountcalifornia.edu (note: no ‘www’)

From this site, students, faculty and staff can access course content, ePortfolio and various department and committee pages, such as the library, academic advising, Learning Center, Career Services, Campus Ministry, Student and Residential Life and more.

From my.marymountcalifornia.edu students can link out to their Marymount email account, plus they can link to the Student Portal (https://estudents.marymountcalifornia.edu) to register for classes or to view grades, financial aid and degree audit information.
